Ms. Keenan and Mrs. Wheeler's Grade 2/3 classes participated in monthly field trips to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park. Their "Year in the Forest" provided place-based, experiential learning that covered many aspects of the Grade Two and Three science and social studies curriculum (Biodiversity, ecosystems, local plants and animals, landforms) while incorporating the First Peoples Principles of Learning.

Throughout the seasons, students have engaged in outdoor activities that allow for exploration, playfulness and stewardship for our local environment and all that live in it. Teachers and students alike have benefitted from the outdoor learning opportunities and time spent in nature.
