Completed over the summer, Hume’s new outdoor play area is bringing fresh energy and enjoyment to our school grounds. Students are making the space their own as they explore the hill and slides, create games, and connect with friends. We also managed to revitalize the soccer field with aeration, topsoil, re-seeding, and plenty of water to create a vibrant green play area for the students and community.

A heartfelt thank-you to our PAC, Outdoor Committee, parent volunteers, and community contributors, with special appreciation to Kays Contracting for their generous contributions of materials, time, and expertise. A huge thank you to our other community contributors, which included: Silver King Contracting: Stone, AAA Tree Works: Log Processing, Terus Construction: Lock Blocks, AIM Contracting: Topsoil, Andex Rentals: Field aerator, BC Eco: Gravel. It is wonderful to see this shared community effort come to life through the children’s play.
