Hume Elementary was thrilled to host a special literary event today featuring Canadian author Kuljinder Kaur Brar. Students in Grades 1–5 had the unique opportunity to engage in virtual sessions where Ms. Brar read from her books, shared insights into her creative writing process, and explored the deep connection between names, identity, and culture.

The event was a meaningful celebration of storytelling and cultural pride, sparking thoughtful conversations and inspiring our young readers to reflect on their own identities and the power of words.
