Thank you, Reconfiguration Meeting and Winter Bazaar

By Janene Stein, Principal - Hume Elementary

I wanted to tell you how appreciative the staff were of all the good winter clothing your children were wearing this week.  Thanks for making sure your kids were sent to school with warm gear.

Next week, the district is asking for your input regarding making Trafalgar a grade 6 to 9 school.  Right now, the grade 9 groups go to LVR.  The challenge is the lack of room at LVR.  I encourage you to attend the Facilities meeting next Thursday evening at Trafalgar from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.

Next week is our Winter Bazaar on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  If you are able, please contribute some baking to the student bake sale.  We are raising funds for the Hume hampers we distribute as well as collecting for the Socks of Care program.  We have received many items already for the Socks of Care.  Please continue to send in your donations.  Mrs. Mush’s class is looking forward to helping needy people in our community.

Online payments are available at the school website.  You can now make an online payment to pay for your school fees or activity fees.  Please don’t pay for hot lunch via the school webpage (even though it says you can).  The PAC has their email address to accept e-transfers.  We’re moving into the 21st Century!

I hope you have a lovely weekend.  We have 4 actors in the pantomime this weekend- make sure you check them out!
